Most of our members are retired, or nearing retirement. Yet most of our members maintain an active lifestyle, which includes the usual list of Florida pursuits (including golf, swimming, entertaining friends). We also take our social ministries seriously.
Members volunteer at local hospitals, hospice, and nursing facilities. Members tutor children in reading programs and other subjects. Members volunteer with such agencies as the Food Bank and Christian Social Services and Habitat for Humanity. And more.
Our people love to spend time together, which most often includes food. Every month a dinner is hosted in our Fellowship Hall. Some, such as the Annual Spaghetti Dinner, are fund raisers and open to the general public. Others are fellowship meals, usually served on Sunday, following worship, and may be pot luck, or a sit-down family-style affair.
In very many ways, we work, worship, and play together and invite our guests and visitors to join us whenever possible.
