A native of Staunton, Va., Ms. Wimmer graduated from Rockingham Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1976 with a diploma in nursing. She practiced as an RN for 20 years in Mental Health, Rehabilitation and general medical surgical fields.

She moved to Lady Lake, Florida, with life partner Shirley Lamb, in 1996. Before beginning this position, she was a carrier for the Daily Sun.

Her hobbies are crocheting, painting, reading, crafts, and traveling. Jelenne comments, "I love the church family that I have found at PUCC and feel very blessed to be able to share my life with the people in this church."
